For privacy matters (export, deletion, questions about your data): privacy@demesne.club. To report a safety concern about another member, use Report inside any conversation or profile; reports are reviewed within 24 hours.
I can't sign in. Sign-in is a 6-digit code sent to your membership email. Codes last 10 minutes. Check spam, and confirm you are using the email your club has on file. Still stuck? Write to us with your club's name.
The app doesn't notice I'm at the club. Presence needs Bluetooth on and location permission granted. For arrival detection while the app is closed, iOS needs location set to "Always" and Android needs "Allow all the time". If you prefer not to grant that, presence still works while the app is open — that is a mode, not a fault. Some Android devices (notably Xiaomi and Huawei) restrict background activity aggressively; opening the app on arrival always works.
What is Ghost mode? The default. You are invisible in the house until you choose to appear, and you can return to Ghost in two taps. You can only see tonight's list while you are willing to be in it.
Will anyone know if I decline an introduction? No. Declines are silent by design. The requester sees nothing — the request simply lapses.
Is Demesne draining my battery? It shouldn't be noticeable. Presence uses low-energy beacon detection, not GPS tracking, and is budgeted at under 2% of battery per day. If you see worse, tell us your device model.
How do I appear — or disappear — tonight? The visibility card at the top of the House tab. One tap to appear until midnight, one tap to vanish.
How do I change my photo, role line or links? You tab → edit profile. Social links are self-declared and shown as links, nothing more.
How do I delete my account? You → Privacy Centre → Delete account. Three taps. Details: demesne.club/delete-account.
What does my club see about me? Anonymous counts only — never named movements. The "What the house sees" page in the Privacy Centre shows exactly what leaves your device.
My club isn't on Demesne. Request an invitation from the welcome screen, or have your membership secretary write to hello@demesne.club.
